On the 07th of October 2024 the Phenomenal Young Persons NPO 181-231 under the leadership of Dr Andile Molokomme visited and hosted the 4th annual Academic Award Ceremony at the Dirang Kanatla Secondary School in Khuma Klerksdorp Northwest. The highly anticipated day began four years prior when Dr Molokomme was still doing her second year internship at the Klerksdorp-Tshepong Complex in 2021 when through her NPO she adopted the school. The 07th of October was not any different a day filled with joy, excitement and hope. She and her team were warmly welcomed by the school management and the learners. Over 50 certificates of merit were given to the learners who exhibited Academic Excellence as the top three performers in each subject and the overall top 10. Learners were filled with joy to have their hard work recognized. ‘Most learners in this school are from under privileged circumstances and that it was it was in my heart to encourage their Academic efforts towards a brighter future’ emphasized Dr Molokomme the PYP Chairperson. In her motivational speech she also led over 100 learners in a prayer of salvation and also distributed 100 copies of the Teevo daily devotion with her team. The school looks forward to hosting the next Academic Excellence Awards ceremony with the organization as this has helped improve the school’s general overall performance.
